#NaPoWriMo Day 13

All that glitters is not gold/ Not all creatures with wings can fly

You made your bed, now lie in it/ But watch the penguins skid across the ice

You’re never too old to learn/ The way they dive into the ocean is a kind of flight

Doubt is the beginning, not the end, of wisdom/ Silky feathers cutting through the water with grace and ease

penguins-429128_1280I learned what an aphorism is today and I attempted cleave poetry … Not sure how successfully/gracefully I managed it. But I think #napowrimo is more about giving it a go, playing, experimenting. The left-side is a collection of aphorisms that fit together in my mind, the right-side is a poem about penguins that I think sort of fits together with the general theme of the aphorisms. Ah well – thoughts welcome in the comments…

p.s. baby penguins are the cutest!

Edit: day 13 doh!
