This weekend my husband and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary.
It’s been two years of love and adventure and supporting each other. We’re excited for the next 50.
We enjoyed the cotton theme by treating ourselves to a spa. The same spa package we enjoyed our first day as newlyweds at QT in Sydney. Wrapped in large cotton robes and sipping champagne was an amazing start to the weekend.
Last night we were rostered on for Front of House duties at the Genesian Theatre – the theatre that introduced us. It was lovely to be back in the venue again and to see so many new patrons admire the unique space that we hold so dear.
For lunch today we headed out The Coast Golf Course and ate at the restaurant overlooking the headlands. I had the roast and Chris had the slow cooked lamb. Both were delicious. This venue was one we had considered for our wedding, but we chose Wolfies at the Quay instead as it was an evening do. We would have lost the view of the headland after dark, but the city lights stayed bright for us. We also had a lot of guests who hadn’t seen iconic Sydney before.
Somewhat aside from all the relaxation and romantic moments we started going through our unit and culling in preparation for the move. There is a local clean up scheduled for tomorrow. We removed some of the large furniture we weren’t using as much as well as worn out linen and other tired items.
When July arrives our journey across Canada and the US begins. When we return to Sydney our plan is then to move interstate. There is only so much we want or even need to take with us.
It’s been a wonderful weekend of romance, memories and renewal.
Tonight we look forward to dinner with my lil sis (my maid of honour) who is back in town for the week. I get to spend all of Thursday with her too.
Feeling loved and blessed.
